4 Weeks

After years of dreaming about what it would be like to start our family, we found out on November 28th that we were indeed expecting a baby of our own. Even though we were nervous and unsure about what the year ahead would bring, we were beside ourselves with happiness and excitement. How lucky are we to be expecting the greatest gift God can give?! We lost our beloved "Big Grandma" just a few weeks before we found out you were on the way, and we have a hunch that she had a hand in you finding your way to us. We have started making all the necessary preparations for your arrival like scheduling a doctor's visit, shopping for cribs, and even browsing through maternity jeans online. Your mom is nothing if not overly prepared. I've changed my diet completely so that its "baby friendly" and have become consumed with worrying about how you are doing in there. I'm sure this is a feeling that will only get worse over time as we learn to care for you more everyday. You are about the size of a poppy seed right now, or at least that's what our books tell us. We love you already and can't wait to get to know you over the next few months.
