We are at ten weeks now, which means you're about the size of a prune, you are beginning to punch and kick, and you are growing fingernails and toenails. Pretty exciting stuff. I've been more sick in the mornings the last few weeks which hasn't been very fun, but on the upside I also haven't gained any weight yet! A few of my pregnant friends told me they had gained quite a bit in their first trimester and I wasn't very excited about that prospect.
This last week we got to spend some time with my dad and his wife Debbie which was nice since we don't get to see them much. We also got to spread the word about you which was awesome! Our friends and family were all really excited and supportive. You have a whole lot of people that just can't wait for you to be here! So now that you are no longer a secret, we can just enjoy this special time and wait for you (and me) to grow.
Here are a couple of cute things we got for you during a shopping trip in Branson. Can't wait to go back once we know if you are a boy or a girl!
Your first Mizzou outfit! (Grandpa John soon bought you your own Mizzou jersey so you will have lots of cute things to wear in support of your team!)
Precious little pants...
:) Love the hat
Your monkey keeping your car seat warm for you
Today we had another fun first when we finally found your little heartbeat with our home doppler. We had seen and heard your heartbeat before at the doctor's office but were anxious to be able to find it ourselves so we could check on you whenever we wanted. Its tough to love something so much but be unable to see, hear, or feel it. Listening to your little heartbeat was so reassuring and comforting, and we are so happy we have the privilege of getting to check on you every day now. Your heartbeat was at a perfect, steady 175. :)
Keep on growing....
Love,
