13 Weeks

At thirteen weeks pregnant, you are now the size of a peach at about 3 inches long from head to rump. Its crazy that you are growing so quickly! Your major developments as of late are your ability to punch, kick, flip, and now you can even respond when I push on my stomach by kicking back or swimming away. I can't feel you kicking yet, but that should come in the next few weeks. I think I am feeling you when you flip over (a strange new feeling in the bottom of my abdomen that feels like a gold fish was unleashed in my gut) and the doctor says that is totally possible at this stage. Pretty cool.

I feel like as your dad's child, you will probably need these shoes.
After all, he liked them so much his groom cake at our wedding was modeled after them.

I'm collecting little things here and there for you. Its so much fun and I've waited my whole life to buy things for my baby...

Precious Little Outfit

Stuffed Zebra That I Fell In Love With

Over the last few weeks I have been doing my best to work as much as I can, knowing how much you still need before you get here :) Luckily as a nurse there are usually no shortage of open shifts. I got a bad cold a couple of weeks ago which was hard to shake since pregnant ladies can't take cold medicine... fortunately I am feeling much better now. We continue to dopple your heartbeat everyday so we know you are doing well in there. Its a wonderful way to end the day and your dad and I both look forward to it. As the weeks pass you seem to be getting more and more active in there. When we listen to your heartbeat you are always moving around in there and we even hear a little woosh sound that sounds like you are punching the doppler. One new addition to your nursery is your rocker (that mommy even set up all by herself- and mommy is NOT handy like that). Its so fun to start putting your nursery together. I can't wait until its all ready for you.

On Tuesday we get to see you via ultrasound again, and we cannot wait! You should look a lot more like a baby now (last time you looked a little bit like a precious baby dinosaur) and they may even have a clue as to what gender you are :) I will be sure to post pictures as soon as I get them.

Your grandma Patty is here now and she is enjoying looking at all of the fun things we have bought for you. She has been enjoying shopping for you also and got you a "Sophie la Giraffe" toy, I'm sure you will love it.

I think my preggo belly is starting to come in, and I can't wait to see what the next few weeks will bring. This is really exciting time and I'm so grateful for every moment.

See you Tuesday!

Love,
