We are now about 20 weeks along, half way through our pregnancy! You are about 10 ounces now and around 6 and a half inches long (about the size of a large heirloom tomato or a small melon). I can finally feel your kicks more consistently now- especially when you kick me in the bladder! Sometimes it surprises me to feel a strong kick when I'm not suspecting it, but its so fun to finally be able to feel that I have a baby growing in there and I'm not just a crazy lady with a round stomach. The last feel weeks my belly has really been rounding out and even strangers can recognize I'm pregnant now and ask about you.
This is what my baby belly is looking like these days...
We got your bedding in a week or so ago and so we have been working on getting your room ready. We have some of your bedding pieces set up and your closet is coming together too. We put up a little rack for your baby hats, organized your clothes by size (dad even made little size markers to denote different parts of your closet), and got some of your things washed and ready. I'm feeling pretty well even though I'm still more tired than normal- I usually require a midday nap now which feels great even if it seems lame. I also have the occasional backache so I usually get to hobble around grabbing the small of my back if I've done too much in a day. Your dad always looks nervous when we go to the grocery store and I seem like I'm not going to make the whole trip without needing to be carried. I assure him this is only the beginning and things will likely get much worse :)
We are working on your name right now, and even though I think we have found one your dad refuses to make a formal decision. I look forward to being able to call you by name and share whatever precious thing we have decided to call you.
This week we get to go see you again at our 20 week ultrasound. We are so excited to see how you've grown and changed over the last few weeks. We can't wait for August to be here and for you to be with us. In the mean time we will just keep preparing and getting things ready for your arrival.

so cute! can't wait to hear the name!
